Best of Russia is the annual All-Russian photo contest held by the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation .

Content
Purpose
The goal is to record the most significant events in the modern history of Russia and to create photo archives that are unique in composition and importance.
Milestones
Photo Acceptance
User can submit no more than 5 photos. Reception is carried out in the following main categories:
- Architecture
- Nature
- People. Developments. A life
- Style
- Special topic - determined by the organizers of the competition.
Jury Voting
The winners are the authors of the best photos in the opinion of the project organizer and invited by the organizers of the jury. Authors are notified of victory by email.
Exhibition
The main venue for the opening and holding of the exhibition is the exhibition hall of the Vinzavod Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow. Also, after the exhibition ends in Moscow, it is exhibited at various major exhibition venues in Russia and abroad.
Final Album
The final album is made up of all the photos based on the results of the qualifying round. The presentation of the album takes place during the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Each author of the winning photo receives an album as a gift. The album can also be purchased at bookstores in Moscow.

The composition of the jury may change every year, the following is a list of some members of past competitions:
- Boyakov Eduard Vladislavovich - producer, theater director, theater teacher.
- Budberg Alexander Petrovich - Russian journalist, political observer for the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets .
- Varlamov Ilya Alexandrovich - Russian public figure, journalist and entrepreneur.
- Vyatkin Vladimir Yuryevich - Russian photojournalist .
- Gurovich Igor Vitalievich - Russian graphic artist and designer.
- Ozerkov Dmitry Yuryevich - Russian art critic , curator, head of the Department of Contemporary Art of the State Hermitage Museum .
- Ponomarev Sergey Igorevich - Russian photojournalist.
- Trotsenko Sofya Sergeyevna - Russian art producer, founder of the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art, president of the Winzavod Foundation for the Support of Contemporary Art, adviser to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.
- Tsereteli Vasily Zurabovich - Russian artist, executive director of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art , member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts .
Criticism
In 2017, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated participants and organizers on the 10th anniversary of the Best of Russia project and praised the value of the project:
This large-scale creative plan unites thousands of people from different regions, gives them a great opportunity to present their works to the court of professionals and photo art lovers. Talented and original, they talk about significant events in the life of the country, about the beauty of nature and unique monuments of history and architecture, create a multifaceted, surprisingly sincere and truthful image of our homeland.
