Euromaxx - Window to Europe

"Euromaxx - Window to Europe" is the German foreign television channel Deutsche Welle (DW). In addition to the German program ( Euromaxx - Leben und Kultur in Europa ), there are also English ( Euromaxx - Lifestyle Europe ), Spanish ( Euromaxx - Vida y cultura en Europe ) and Arabic (يوروماكس) [1] versions. Euromaxx talks about all areas of modern pop culture: architecture, music, fashion, design, art, photography, food and drink, travel and much more. The program features reports from Germany and Europe.

Broadcast

The program is released every day from June 30, 2003 on DW-TV in German, English and Arabic editions. Since 2013, the program has also been launched on Russian regional channels. Thus, the magazine reaches all target regions of German foreign television at present. Since the summer of 2010, initially within the framework of the Einsfestival, organized by the ARD television company, Euromaxx Highlights (Euromaxx Highlights) have been released , which show the best stories of the past week.

Leading

Meike Krueger , Christina Sterz , Linda Betke and Karin Helmstadt lead the German version. [2] In the English version, Anne O'Donnell, Karin Helmstadt, Louise Houghton and Meggen Lei Dudi alternate. Euromaxx comes out six times a week from Germany and Europe. The main topics are everyday culture, architecture, photography, cinema, cooking, lifestyle, literature, fashion, music, people, theater, dancing, trends and housing. The television magazine shows portraits and the lifestyle of Europeans in its stories. Euromaxx Highlights ( Moments Euromaxx) presents highlights of the week and interesting stories from last week's programs. Constant headings and series emphasize Euromaxx.

TV Series

Euromaxx series such as New Fashion Designer of Europe, Christmas Tree, New Wonders of the World or Sports in Europe were awarded prizes. Euromaxx-series "The Truth About Germany" was also awarded. [6] Then reporter Michael Wigge visited Germany in the series “The Most Beautiful Country in the World” (SCSM, “DSLDW”) and regularly went in search of interesting places and people. On his original surviving VW Karmann-Ghia , built in 1961, he traveled with his camera throughout Germany and visited famous sights. [7]

Rewards

Euromaxx has been awarded numerous international television awards. For example, the program received the Hot Bird TV Award in Venice and several awards at New York Festivals, at the WorldFest in Houston and at the WorldMediaFestival in Hamburg. The design of the television magazine was awarded the prestigious Broadcast Designers Award.
