Nenovsky, Nikolai

Nikolai Nenov Nenovsky ( June 26, 1963 , Veliko Tarnovo ) - Bulgarian economist , professor . The son of Neno Nenovsky (1934-2004) - a famous Bulgarian lawyer, member of the Constitutional Court of Bulgaria. Professor of the University of Picardy named after Jules Verne , France.

He graduated from Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov (1984-1989), then trained at the universities of Poitiers, Nancy and Geneva. In 1996 he defended his dissertation "Monetary need for transition economies" at the Institute of Economics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Since 1996, he has been working at the Bulgarian National Bank , in 1997-2002 he headed the department of financial and monetary analysis, from 2002 to 2008 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian National Bank and the Economic Advisory Council under the President of Bulgaria. Since 2008 - Advisor to the Minister of Finance of the Government of Bulgaria. Since 1997, she has been teaching at the Sofia University of National and World Economy . Since 2001 - Associate Professor, and since 2007 - Professor of Economics and Finance at the same university. He is an associate researcher at the University of Orleans [1] since 2000 and at the University of Torino (Italy), ICER since 2006.

In May 2009, he was elected Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (XL National Assembly) [2] , and on August 20, 2009, the XLI National Assembly canceled the previous election for political reasons.

Since 2010, he has been a guest researcher at the University of Orleans, Studium Institute for Advanced Studies, France. Since 2011, collaborates with a consulting company Cobden Partners based in London [3] . On September 1, 2012, Nikolai Nenovsky became a professor at the University of Picardy Jules Verne Université de Picardie Jules Verne , Department of Economics and Management CRIISEA in Amiens , France. Founder of the Bulgarian Hayek Society [4] ( 2002 ), co-founder and vice-president ( 2003 - 2005 ) of the Bulgarian Macroeconomic Association.

In 2014, he established the International Center for Monetary Research (MRC) [5] , the center is located in Sofia, Bulgaria, and holds regular conferences and seminars.

He is interested in monetary theory and politics, monetary history and the history of Russian money. [6] [7] [8] . In the book (monograph on the rights of the manuscript) “Bulgarian economists in the years of the Great Depression” you can find information about Russian economists in Bulgaria, among which S. Demostenov, I. Kinkel, N. Dolinsky, O. Anderson , as well as P. Struve [ 9] .
