Alexander Fedorovich Andreev (1893, Kolpino - 1941, Leningrad ) is a Soviet inventor who developed the world's first jet-propelled rocket-propelled rocket engine.

Biography
Alexander Fedorovich Andreev was born in Kolpino . Received secondary education. Since the early 1920s, he lived in Leningrad .
In 1919, he developed the world's first liquid-fuel jet-propelled knapsack. The project was sent to the Council of People's Commissars , and from it was redirected to the Committee on Inventions. The patent application, having received critical review, was rejected.
In 1925 he filed a new, revised version of the application. After a positive review by the expert and further alteration of the text, in 1928 he was granted a patent for an invention.
He died in December 1941 in the besieged Leningrad from dystrophy [1] .
