The Seaside class is a class of cruise ships owned and operated by MSC Cruises . The first ship of the MSC Seaside series entered service in the Caribbean in December 2017. [1] The second ship, MSC Seaview, was launched a year later in June 2018.

Ships
The first two vessels were ordered in May 2014 at a cost of $ 700 million. The company Fincantieri [2] was engaged in construction, having completed work in November 2017 on the first vessel and in May 2018 on the second. The plans of the company MSC Cruises was planned to build a third vessel. Following the construction of the MSC, Seaside MSC Cruises announced that it intends to implement the construction of a third vessel, as well as a fourth, with launching in 2021 and 2023. In the third and fourth ship, it is planned to make modifications and call it the Seaside EVO class. [one]

Project
The Seaside class is based on Fincantieri's Project Mille [3] [4] . The first two ships have 18 decks and a gross tonnage of 153,516 gbt, 323 meters long, 8.8 meters draft and 41 meters wide. [1] The maximum passenger capacity is 5,119, with a crew of 1,413 people. [1] Two Seaside EVO vessels will increase in size to 339 meters, gross tonnage will increase to 169,380 gross tonnes, will receive an additional deck and will be able to carry 5,646 passengers. [one]
Seaside-class vessels are designed for a Wärtsilä four-engine diesel-electric generator system operated by GE Marine. [1] The ship is propelled by two propellers, each of which is driven by an electric motor with a capacity of 20 megawatts (27,000 hp); four front and three stern shunting engines with a capacity of 3.1 megawatts (4200 hp).
