Club career
In adult football he made his debut in 1973 with appearances for the Wacker club team (Innsbruck) , in which he spent six seasons, taking part in 139 championship matches.
His game for this team attracted the attention of the representatives of the coaching staff of the German Nuremberg , which he joined in 1979. He played for the Nuremberg club the next two seasons of his playing career. Most of the time spent in the Nuremberg was the main player in the team. As part of Nuremberg, he was one of the team's top scorers, with an average performance of 0.38 goals per championship game.
In 1981, he signed a contract with the Dutch club AZ , which included spent the next two years of his career as a player.
In 1983 he moved to the club "Austria" (Klagenfurt), for which he played 4 seasons. Playing in the Klagenfurt "Austria" also mainly went to the field in the main team. He completed his professional career as a football player with performances for the Klagenfurt Austria in 1987.
