History
The construction of the temple over the gates of the Verkhotursky Nicholas Monastery began in 1855. The temple was built on the gates of 1752 built. The construction certificate was laid by the archbishop of Perm and Verkhotursky Neophyte. Construction work completed in 1856. In 1863, the church was consecrated by the same archbishop in the name of Saints Simeon the Boropriemts and Anna the Prophetess [2] .
Architecture
On a two-story cubic, brick and whitewashed volume with beveled corners there is a low four with beveled corners, crowned with a bulbous head on a blank drum. Cut through by a wide arched passage. Complicated by three rounded pediments and miniature chapters, as well as two extensions: a book and icon shop and a gatehouse [3] .
On the main southern facade, the arch of the passage is highlighted by a type-setting portal, above which the icon case and a pair of symmetrically arranged windows are decorated with a three-part order platband. He is crowned by a pair of spiral curls, engulfed in a zigzag. The portal is flanked by three-quarter columns abutting against entablature. It is outlined by a series of balusters, interrupted by a three-part platband. The ledges above the columns are covered by truncated pyramids [3] .
The ground floor plan is axial symmetrical: on both sides of the through arch there are two rooms with rounded ends, in the left is an interfloor staircase. The plan of the second floor is crosswise symmetrical: four rooms with rounded ends communicate with the temple space through the spring arches. The upper light quadrangle with beveled corners is covered by an eight-fold closed arch [3] .
