Biography
In 1821 he entered the Naval Corps as a cadet , in 1822 he was promoted to midshipmen , in 1824 he went on the frigate "Easy" to the island of Iceland , in 1825 he cruised on the frigate "Vestovoy" in the Baltic Sea , in 1826 on the battleship "Azov" , under the command of Captain I rank M.P. Lazarev , moved from Arkhangelsk to the city of Kronstadt , in 1827 he went to England on the battleship "Emmanuel" in 1828-1830. on the frigate “Alexandra” he crossed from Kronstadt to Malta , cruised in the Aegean and Adriatic Seas , participated in the blockade of the Dardanelles , after which he was transferred to the Tallak brig. In 1829 he was promoted to midshipman , left in the officer class ( Nikolaev Naval Academy ) and sailed with the cadets on the yacht "Dove".
In 1831, Bochechkarov was promoted to lieutenant and participated on the same brig, under the command of Captain Lieutenant Zamytsky, in a battle on July 27 of the same year in the Monastery Bay of Poros Island with Greek insurgents who occupied the Spezia corvette and the fortress during the events of the Civil War in Greece 1831-1832 .
In 1832-1833, he sailed on the same brig in the Archipelago and then moved to Sevastopol , from where he returned to Kronstadt by the shore; in 1834-1837 on the frigate “Neva” and the ship “Kulm” sailed in the Baltic Sea, in 1838 he commanded the firebreaking schooner “Rainbow” in the Kronstadt raid , after which he went inland navigation annually.
Since 1853, he commanded the Prokhor battleship in the Gulf of Finland , and in 1854 participated in the defense of Sveaborg from the attack of the Anglo-French fleet.
In 1855, Bochechkarov commanded the 8th battalion of the Kronstadt rowing flotilla to defend Kronstadt from the attack of the enemy fleet, in 1856 he was appointed commander of the reserve crew of the 2nd brigade of the 3rd naval division in Helsingfors , in 1858 he was appointed president of the commission of the military court at the Arkhangelsk port and in 1860 he was promoted to major general with dismissal from service.
