History
The temple is located in the central part of the village on the right bank of the Nitsa River. The first church building was wooden, built in 1732. The construction of the stone building was carried out in 1777-1779. The building is two-story, two-altered with a bell tower. Part of the temple was warm, consecrated in the name of the Assumption of the Mother of God. Part cold, consecrated in the name of the Trinity Life-Giving. The aisle of the lower tier was consecrated in the name of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. The western part was used for the overnight stay of merchants on the way to the Irbit Fair. The parish consisted of four chapels, two of which were in the village, one in the village of Lukinoy and one in the village of Yerkhovka. In total, the parish included 10 villages. The number of parishioners is a little over 3100. The clergy consisted of two priests, a deacon and two psalm-readers [2] .
In 1937, the building was closed, services were discontinued. It was later used as a club. In 1958, the building was badly damaged by fire [2] .
In the 1990s, the building was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church. Since 1998, restoration work has been ongoing. Since 2001, an Orthodox community has been organized and regular services are conducted [2] .
