Biography
Born in 1782, descended from nobles of the Estland province .
In 1799, after graduating from the Ground Gentry Cadet Corps, he was promoted to second lieutenant and assigned to the 2nd Egersk regiment . Since 1807, the participant of the Anglo-Russian and since 1808 of the Russian-Swedish war. In 1808, he was awarded the Golden St. George's Saber and the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th Degree with swords and a bow for bravery [2] .
In 1811 he was promoted to majors , in 1812 transferred to the Grenadier Life Guards regiment . Since 1812, he has participated in the Patriotic War and foreign campaigns of the Russian army , fought in the army of General of Infantry P.H. Wittgenstein . In 1813, for distinction, he was promoted to lieutenant colonel , in 1814, colonel . In 1814, for bravery, he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree with diamond decorations. In the same year, for participation in the capture of Paris, he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 3rd degree.
In 1816 he was appointed commander of the 39th Egersky regiment . In 1819, he was promoted to major general , consisted of the commander of the 10th Infantry Division . From 1820, he commanded the 3rd Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division , the 2nd Brigade of the 15th Infantry Division, and the 3rd Brigade of the Combined Division of the 5th Infantry Corps . In 1829 he was promoted to lieutenant general with the appointment of the commander of the 4th infantry division , along with the division he participated in the Russian-Turkish war . Since 1833, the head of the 5th and 6th infantry divisions. Since 1840, the head of the 1st Grenadier Division [3] [4] .
In 1843 he was promoted to general of infantry . Since 1854 a member of the general auditorium of the Ministry of War of the Russian Empire . Since 1859, was in the reserve forces .
In 1821 he was awarded the Order of St. George of the 4th degree for years of service [5] [6] . He was awarded all orders up to the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky granted to him in 1859 [7] .
