Story

The series begins in 1940 when two brothers and their older friend discovered a certain object, a capsule, inside which an elixir of eternity with a message of help from the planet Yalmez. Victor drinks half the elixir. In an instant, one of the little boys, Petya, disappears. The second half of the elixir is accidentally drunk by his twin Pavel Belobrysov. In 2150, there are rumors about the death of the crew on the planet Yalmez. The defendant in the case is the military historian Kortikov, who tells everyone present the truth about this flight, starting with his acquaintance with Belobrysov, the choice of crew name for the ship, in honor of the girl Ella. Throughout the flight, there were some consequences: first, three crew members die due to the explosion of one object. Belobrysov was accused of the explosion. Then, when landing on Yalmez, the doctor dies. During the attack, unknown creatures die the captain of the ship, but the vagabond boy Barsik, who is trying to hide from metamorphants, becomes a companion. During the search for a safe place, another crew member dies, but a scientist named Blagopup saves. It is this scientist who blames himself for the failure of his experiment, which led to unfortunate consequences.

In parallel with the future, Belobrysov’s past is described (the 1960s to 2149 a few days before flying to Yalmez), relations with Ella (1950s – 2020s), attempts to find a mirror world (1960s – beginning 1970s), about his personal life, about relations with his son Max (1990s - early 2020s), about a flight to Mars, in which he later remained alone (2030s to 2149). At the end of the series, Pavel learned that one of the crew members, the biologist, told the truth that it was he who made plans that Pavel did not make, but that he dies during the attack of metamorphants, Paul sacrifices himself. A year after the meeting, Kortikov casts the elixir taken by the robot Syrnik on Gusiny Island, but this leads to the death of Victor, who a year earlier, was disguised as an old man. In the same 1940 events changed, three boys discovered that instead of a capsule they found an old piece of iron, but instead of tragedy, Pavel Belobrysov’s life turns into a happy ending.
