Line 2 ( Spanish Línea 2 ) is one of Mexico City 's 12 metro lines. Opened in 1970, as the name implies, it is chronologically the second line in the Mexico City Metro. There are 24 metro stations on the 23.4 km long line.

Site Opening Timeline
- August 1, 1970: the opening of the first section of the line between the stations " Taskenya " and " Pinot Suarez ."
- September 14, 1970: the line was extended from the Pinot Suarez station to the Takuba station.
- August 22, 1984: the line was extended from Takuba Station to Cuatro Kaminos Station.
