“ Vojvodina ” ( Serb. Foodball Club Voјvodina ) is a Serbian football club from the city of Novi Sad , in the South Bach district of the autonomous region of Vojvodina , by name of which it received the name. It was founded in 1914 . The team spends home games at the Arena with a total capacity of about 15,000 spectators. One of the most titled football clubs in the championship of Yugoslavia and the Serbian Super League .

Content
Club History
The club was founded in 1914 . The highest achievements in the domestic arena are two - time champion of Yugoslavia (1966 and 1989). In 1967, Vojvodina reached the quarter finals of the European Cup , where it was defeated by the future trophy holder, the Scottish Celtic . After winning the cup ( Inter Milan was defeated in the finals in Lisbon) on May 25, 1967, Celtic players announced that Vojvodina was the strongest opponent they met during the season.
The club reached the final of the Yugoslav Cup in and in . In 1998, Vojvodina participated in the Intertoto Cup final. In 2007, the club again reached the final of the country's cup , but again could not win the trophy. In 2014, Vojvodina won the long-awaited Serbia Cup , the first in its history.
Stadium
The home stadium of Vojvodina is the Karajorj stadium in Novi Sad . With a capacity of 15,000 seats, [1] it is the largest football stadium in the city. The stadium is also the home arena for Serbia's youth soccer team . It hosted a farewell match of Sinishi Mikhailovich .
