Club career

In adult football he made his debut in 1972 with appearances for the Wiener Sport Club club team , in which he spent three seasons, taking part in 53 championship matches.

His game for this team attracted the attention of the coaching staff of the Wacker club (Innsbruck) , which he joined in 1974. He played for the Innsbruck team the next four seasons of his playing career. Most of the time spent in the Wacker was the main player of the attacking team. As part of Wacker, he was one of the team's top scorers, with an average performance of 0.41 goals per championship game.

During 1979-1981 he played in the Netherlands, defended the colors of the AZ club team.

In 1981, he moved to Spain, signing a contract with the club "Valencia" , which included spent the next two years of his career as a player. Playing in the composition of “Valencia” also mainly went to the field in the main team.

Subsequently, from 1983 to 1988, he played in the teams of the Belgian Ghent , the Greek Olympiacos , as well as the Austrian clubs Wacker (Innsbruck) , Swarovski Tyrol , HAC (Graz) and Spittal.

He completed his professional playing career at the Swarovski Tirol club, which he has previously performed in. He joined the team in 1988, defended its colors until the termination of performances at a professional level in 1989.
