Metropolitan Alexander ( Greek Μητροπολίτης Αλέξανδρος Δηλανάς ; 1878 , , Samos - January 5, 1958 , Veria , Greece ) - Bishop of the Orthodox Church of Constantinople (and formally the Greek Orthodox Church ); Metropolitan of Veria, Nausa and Campania (1943-1958) [1] .

Biography
Born in 1878 in the town of Marafokambos on the island of Samos.
He graduated from a theological school on the island of Halki . In 1903 he graduated from the theological faculty of the University of Athens and in 1905 he was consecrated consecutively to the rank of deacon and presbyter . He was the rector of a theological school in Patmos Exarchate .
On July 18, 1910, in Cordellio , Metropolitan of Ephesus Joachim (Eutius) , Metropolitan of Krinia Theoclite (Eleutherio) and Metropolitan of Anaia Anfim (Himonios) was ordained to the titular bishop of Mirinisky, vicar of Ephesus metropolis [2] .
On February 21, 1917 he was elected Bishop of Aney (in March he was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan).
February 19, 1922 was appointed Metropolitan of Pergamon and Adramit.
On October 9, 1924 he was appointed to the Zikhni and Neurokopy metropolitanate.
In February 1943 he was elected Metropolitan of Veria, Nausa and Campania .
He died on January 5, 1958 in Veria.
