Story
The film in a satirical vein shows a few days from the life of the President of Haiti and his closest associates; All events take place in the small world of the presidential palace. Although Jean de Dieu was elected democratically, his policies and dictatorial manners cause mass discontent among the people, resulting in protests. In response, he orders to disperse the demonstrators by force, as well as arrest and torture an openly criticizing journalist. On the eve of the 200th anniversary of independence, the situation in the country is becoming increasingly tense. The pressure on Jean de Dieu from other powers is growing, there is a real danger that the Americans who brought him to power will refuse to support. In such an environment, the president’s state of mind becomes more and more unstable.
