Biography
Born in the family of Friedrich Anton Furman who arrived in Russia from Saxony in the second half of the 18th century and Sofya Lyubimovna nee Guildenbant; Brother Andrei (1795-1835) - Decembrist, captain of the Chernigov Infantry Regiment; Sister Anna (1791–1850); nephew A.F. Oom (1826-1898) - Privy Councilor, educator of imperial children [1] .
In service since 1794, in a class rank since 1798 after graduating from the Mountain Cadet Corps with a determination to the St. Petersburg Customs [2] . Since 1801, the clerk of the Office of the State Council of the Russian Empire . Since 1804, the ruler of the chancellery of the Theodosian military governor . Since 1810, a college adviser , director of the Feodosia Accounting Office. In 1818 he was promoted to state adviser with the appointment of director of the State Commercial Bank . Since 1819, the first manager of the Odessa office of the State Commercial Bank.
Since 1824, vice-director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Empire . In 1826 he was promoted to acting State Councilor . From 1831 he was a member of the interim board, from 1832 to 1845 he was the chief director — the chairman of the Government Commission for Finance and the Treasury [3] and a member of the administration of the Council [4] of the Kingdom of Poland . In 1833 he was promoted to Privy Councilor . In 1838 to 1840, he presided over the State Council of the Kingdom of Poland. From 1845 to 1847, the senator, presiding over the General Meeting of the Warsaw Departments of the Governing Senate [5] .
He was awarded all Russian orders up to the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky granted to him on October 5, 1840 [6] .
