Pyotr Fedoseevich Bochkarev (January 4, 1904, p. Tisul , Tomsk province , Russian Empire (now a town in the Kemerovo region , Russia ) - July 16, 1974, Irkutsk , USSR ) - Soviet scientist, doctor of chemical sciences, rector of Irkutsk State University (1962β 1967). He was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Red Banner of Labor [1] . Founder of the study of the chemical composition of the waters of Eastern Siberia .

Biography
Born January 4, 1904 in the village. Tisul in the family of a peasant. After a year of work at the Mariinsky district land department, in 1921 he entered the Tomsk Pedagogical College, and after graduating in 1925 he entered the natural department of the pedagogical faculty of Irkutsk State University , which he graduated in 1929 with a degree in chemistry and natural sciences. The following year he became an assistant in the department of general and inorganic chemistry, from 1941 to 1945 [2] he was dean of the Faculty of Chemistry. In 1937, without protection, he was awarded the degree of candidate of chemical sciences, and in 1956 at Rostov State University. V. M. Molotov (Hydrochemical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR) he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Hydrochemistry of the rivers of Eastern Siberia" [3] . In 1957 he became a professor [1] .
In 1946-1953 [1] (according to other sources, until 1956 [2] ) - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, from May 1962 to July 1967 - Rector of Irkutsk State University [1] .
Several times he was elected to the Kirov District Council of Deputies of the city of Irkutsk [2] . Member of the Coordinating Council for Hydrochemistry, member of the All-Union Society. D.I. Mendeleev. He was awarded the Orders of Lenin and the Red Banner of Labor, the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", and other medals [1] .
