Brantford is a city located on the Grand River in the southwest of Ontario , Canada [1] . According to the census, in 2011 the population of the city was 94,000 people, and about 135,500 with the suburbs.

Brantford is geographically related to Brant County; it connects with Woodstock in the west and Hamilton in the east via Route 403 and with Cambridge in the North via Route 24. Highway 424, connecting Highway 401 from Cambridge to Highway 403 in Brantford, is under planning .
Brantford is sometimes also called the homeland of the phone , because Alexander Bell lived in it.
The city is named after Joseph Brant (Tayendanegea) - the leader of the Mohawk tribe and officer of the English army, who founded the reservation here.
