Biography
Born on October 10, 1929 in the village of Maloye Zavolzhye, Konoshsky District, Arkhangelsk Region.
In 1949-1953 he served in one part of the naval aviation on the Kola Peninsula.
From 1953 until his retirement, he worked at the plant number 402 (now - OJSC "PO" Northern Machine-Building Enterprise ") as a pipe bender.
Their small team of workshop No. 9 (usually five people) performed all the work on laying the piping systems of ships and submarines, from the manufacture of templates for installation work to the installation and commissioning of the system.
In 1966 he was awarded the Order "Badge of Honor".
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated December 4, 1974, Klementsev Leonid Yevdokimovich was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for his outstanding services in mastering and producing new equipment (nuclear submarine of project 667B) to the pipe bending machine of workshop No. 9 of the Northern Machine-Building Enterprise.
Since 1989, retired.
He lived in Severodvinsk. He died on July 9, 2018. He was buried in the city cemetery "Mironova Gora"
