Vladas Gefenas ( lit. Vladas Gefenas , born October 31, 1955 , Vilnius ) is a Soviet and Lithuanian chess player , master of sports of the USSR (1981), international master of ICCHF (1985).

Biography
In 1978 he graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Vilnius University . From 1978 to 1998 taught at the Kaunas Polytechnic Institute (at the chemical and physical faculties). From 1998 to 2011 worked at Vilnius Technical University (in 2005–2010 he headed the Department of Chemistry). Since 2012, she has been a teacher at the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences . Candidate of Chemical Sciences (1987), Associate Professor . [one]
Wife - Audrone Gefeniene (nee. Moserite), Doctor of Physical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences. Daughter - Wilt (born 1984). Son - Gediminas (born 1988).
Learned to play chess at the age of 7 years. He achieved significant success in the game of correspondence . In 1981, he won the European Youth Championship. In 1984, as part of the Lithuanian SSR team, he won the USSR team championship. In the same year, he participated in the traditional team tournament “Baltic Sea - Sea of Friendship”. In 1987 he became the champion of Europe. Participated in the 15th World Championships in Correspondence.
