Manfred Linzmaier ( German: Manfred Linzmaier ; born 27 August 1962 , Kufstein , Austria ) is an Austrian footballer and coach. As part of the Austrian national team participant in the 1990 World Cup .

Career
Club career
Linzmayer began his professional career in 1980 at the Wacker club from Innsbruck , who in 1986 teamed up with the Swarovski club from Wattens and became known as Swarovski-Tirol . In 1992, the union collapsed, and the license was returned to Wacker , which, however, only existed for another year. In total for these teams Linzmayer spent 13 seasons of the championship of Austria , becoming the double champion and the double winner of the Austrian Cup .
In 1993, Linzmayer joined the LASK club, who played in the first Austrian league and helped the team win it and become eligible to play in the Bundesliga for the next season. The second such success took place two years later - Linzmayer again became the winner of the first league, this time with Linz . He finished his career as an Austrian at a club from his native town, .
Career in the national team
Linzmayer’s debut for the Austrian national team took place on December 16, 1985 in a friendly match against the Yugoslav national team [1] .
In 1990, he took part in the World Cup game in Italy against the home team . At 33 minutes in the winning game for the Austrians in the world championship against the USA national team, Artner received a red card and was sent off. [2]
The last match of Linzmayer in the national team shirt was a friendly match with Sweden in May 1991. In total, for the national team of his country, he played 27 matches, one of which went out with the captain's armband , and scored 2 goals [1] .

Career Coach
After completing his playing career, Linzmayer worked as an assistant to the head coach Kurt Yara at Tyrol , Hamburg and Kaiserslautern . In 2005, he served as Acting Head Coach of Austria from Salzburg . Currently engaged in scout work in the German Ingolstadt 04 [3] .
