Club career

Ali El-Khattabi, born in the Netherlands, began his career as a footballer in Sparta Rotterdam. On September 9, 1995, he made his debut in Eredivisi , substituting in the away match against Ajax [2] . On March 27, 1996, the Moroccan scored his first goal in the league, equalizing the score in the home game with Roda [3] . In the summer of 1996, he moved to the Dutch Heerenveen , and from the beginning of 1999 he again played for Sparta. In the 2000/01 season, El Khattabi with 21 goals scored took second place in the list of top scorers of the Eredivisi. After its completion, the forward moved to AZ . In the 2003/04 season, he scored 14 goals in the league, which allowed him to take fourth place in the list of top scorers. The 2005/06 season, Ali El-Khattabi played for Roosendaal , after which he completed his career as a football player.

Team Career

Ali El-Khattabi played for the Moroccan national team at the 1998 African Cup of Nations in Burkina Faso, where he played for her three matches: the group stage with Mozambique [4] and Egypt [5] , as well as the quarter-finals with South Africa [6] . In the game with the Mozambicans, he scored a goal. The striker was included in the Moroccan national team at the 1998 World Cup in France, where he played in two games of his team in the tournament: with Norway [7] and Brazil [8] .
