Biography
Graduated from BSU (1968). He worked at the factory, as a teacher, as a broadcasting correspondent. Since 1971, at the Institute of Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus , since 1986 at the publishing house "Mastatskaya Literatura", since 1997 the director of the publishing house "Fatherland".
It has been published since 1968. It explores the artistic peculiarity, the style of modern Belarusian prose writers, the interaction of literature and the reader (collection “The Leaving Role of Literature”, 1980). In the novels “Pa tsalіku” (1977), “Daroga ў Two Canzas” (1981), psychologism, clarity of character drawing, and a good sense of language are manifested. The compiler of the literary collection “Vobraz” (1981), collections of short stories by young Belarusian writers “Beat up the Pershotsvet” (1985), “Akno Zyaleni Sad” (1988), books by N. Deshkevich (1991), L. Kalyuga (1992), A. Mryya (1993) and others.
Head of the Organizing Committee (1989-90) and the Rada (1990-93) of the Association of Belarusians of the World “Fatherland”.
