The Early Years and the Priesthood

Guillaume Pierre Godin was born around 1260 , in Bayonne , Kingdom of France . The son of Pierre Godin. His name is also referred to as Villelmo, and some sources call him Petri's middle name. His last name is also referred to as Peyr Godin, de Godieu, Godiuus and Godinus. [2]

The Order of Preachers (Dominicans) entered Beziers around 1279 . He received his doctorate from the University of Paris in 1292 . [2]

The date of his ordination as a priest is unknown. Professor of philosophy until 1282 and theology in 1287 . The provinces of their order in Provence from July 21, 1301 to September 28, 1303 .
