“Not Only About Cycling: My Return to Life” is an autobiographical book by the famous cyclist Lance Armstrong , co-authored by sports columnist Sally Jenkins.

The book was written shortly after the athlete’s first victory at the prestigious Tour de France bicycle race in 1999 (in subsequent years he will increase the number of titles to seven, but all his victories will be canceled due to the use of doping).
In 1996, Armstrong was diagnosed with testicular cancer , which spread to his lungs, stomach, and brain, and was given a 40 percent chance of survival [1] . It almost ruined the career of the driver, but Lance found the strength to return.
The story covers his story from childhood until 1999 and the birth of his first child [2] [3] .
After investigating the doping charges against him, Armstrong was stripped of all his titles on October 22, 2012 [4] . In January 2013, he pleaded guilty. During an investigation in 2012, USADA concluded that the doping excerpts in the book are false or doubtful [5] .
