Isidor Lateiner ( Eng. Isidor Lateiner ; January 8, 1930 , Havana - May 26, 2005 , Amsterdam ) is an American-Dutch violinist. Brother of pianist Jacob Lateiner .

Born in a family of Polish Jews who emigrated to Cuba. A child prodigy, he gave a debut concert at the age of five, and at the age of 10 he received a scholarship to study in the USA at the Curtis Institute , which he graduated in 1947; studied with Leia Lyuboshits , then with Ivan Galamyan . In 1945, he first performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Eugene Ormandy , performing a concert by Felix Mendelssohn . Since 1956 he regularly performed in New York .
In 1963, together with his wife and accompanist, pianist Edith Grosh , he moved to Amsterdam, from where he continued to tour around the world. In the Netherlands, the couple founded a popular series of chamber concerts (cellist Godfried Hogeven became its third member). He made a number of recordings, including Chamber Music No. 4 by Paul Hindemith (with the Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Francesco d'Avalos ). He taught at the Hague Conservatory .
