Biography
The son of Nikolai Fedorovich Narbut. He entered the service in 1841, since 1842, after the end of the Polotsk Cadet Corps, he was promoted to ensign and second lieutenant , and in 1846 he was promoted to lieutenant .
In 1849, after graduating from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff on the 1st rank, he was promoted to the staff captains of the General Staff . Since 1850, the senior adjutant of the headquarters of the 1st Infantry Corps . In 1851 he was promoted to captain of the General Staff with the appointment of the 3rd Infantry Division as the division quartermaster . Since 1854, the senior adjutant of the main headquarters of the army. In 1855 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel with the appointment of headquarters officer for special assignments under the chief of staff of the Western Army. Since 1856, a senior adjutant of the main headquarters of the 1st Army .

In 1890 he was promoted to general from infantry with the appointment of a member of the Alexander Committee on the wounded . He was awarded all orders up to the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky granted to him in 1893 [1] . He was buried at the Nikolsky cemetery in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra (the grave was not preserved). His Camping Diary about the war of 1877-1877 was published in the Russian Archive (for 1895, No. 3).
