History

The city hall was transferred to Tsarskoye Selo from Sofia in the 1810s. For her, they adapted a new house with a mezzanine on Moskovskaya Street, which was originally built as a residential project by V.I.Geste and under the leadership of L. Ruska . The town hall was located there until the mid-1860s, when it moved to a new building on Naberezhnaya Street . In the 1860s and 1891, the building was rebuilt, the author is unknown. In the 1860s In the courtyard a wooden two-story outbuilding was erected. After the restructuring of 1891, the county treasury and a branch of the Russian Commercial and Industrial Bank were located in the building [3] [4] .

The main building of the town hall in recent years houses a branch of Sberbank. The outbuilding after the revolution was adapted for housing, in 2009 it was resettled. In 2013, the main building was included in the list of objects of cultural heritage, and the outbuilding, before that, together with the main building was the identified object, was removed from the list. In 2014, the outbuilding was demolished, in 2017 it was rebuilt again with some deviations from the original appearance of concrete, sheathed in wood. [3] [5]

Architecture

The town hall building is a typical example of a mezzanine house. The interior of the operating room of the Sberbank branch has been preserved since the 1860s with minor alterations. The wooden two-story outbuilding had a finish under the “diamond rust”, flat platbands with locks, shoulder blades [3] [4] .
