Born in Baku in a working class family. Received higher education.
From 1924, from the first day of the organization of the Ganja Breeding Station (future AzNIHI), and until the last days of his life, he headed the department of selection work on cotton.
Co-author of varieties 1363, 2018, 2302, 2421, 2833, widely used.
Candidate of Agricultural Sciences. Senior Researcher.
Together with academician VASKHNIL I. S. Varuntsyan, for the cultivation of new high-yielding varieties, he became a laureate of the 1949 Stalin Prize.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin, two orders of the Red Banner of Labor, two orders of the Badge of Honor, and medals.
He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijan SSR IV convocation.
