Gershom Levy (July 4, 1937, Tel Aviv - March 21, 2009) is an Israeli biologist and arachnologist . Master of Biology (since 1964).

Biography
From 1943 he lived in Jerusalem . Spider-like began studying as a student, under the influence of his mentor Aaron Shulov. The first work was devoted to the solpugs of Israel. In 1969 he received a PhD at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem .
In 1970, the scientist traveled to Paris to study the collections of scorpions. There he met Max Vachon. Internship at the museum at Harvard University under the leadership of the American arachnologist and his namesake Herbert Levy.
He taught at the Hebrew University and Ben-Gurion University. Since 1996, retired, but continued to engage in scientific work and arachnid collections. He was a member of the linguistic committee at the Academy of Sciences of Israel.
I collected stamps , traveled a lot.
For example, the following species were named after Levi: Galeodes levyi , Phlegra levyi , Enoplognatha gershomi , Aelurillus gershomi , Agelescape levyi , Gamasomorpha gershomi .
