National Football League of the People’s Republic of Donetsk - a soccer team representing the Donetsk People’s Republic in international matches. The team is controlled by the Football Union of Donetsk People's Republic. The DPR is not a member of either FIFA or UEFA , but is a member of ConIFA .

Content
History
The constituent assembly of the DPR Football Union was held on July 25, 2015. [1] Igor Petrov , ex-player of Shakhtar and Metallurg Donetsk clubs from the period of the 1990s was appointed President, Denis Pushilin , head of the People’s Council of the DPR, and ex-commentator of the Football Channel Vyacheslav Sharafutdinov became executive director of the DPR FC . The DPR national team played its first international match in Abkhazia on May 14, 2015, losing 0-1.

Both matches of 2016 were held as part of the selection for the ConIFA World Championship among unrecognized states in 2018 , where the DPR team took the final 6th place out of 14 teams in the European selection zone.
Matches in Makeevka were held in the memory of the honored master of sports of the USSR, the legendary goalkeeper Viktor Chanov , the winner of which was the national team of the DPR.
ConIFA European Unrecognized States Championship 2019
Based on the ConIFA rating, the DPR team was selected to participate in the European Championship among unrecognized states, which will be held from June 1 to 9, 2019 in Artsakh . The national team was seeded from the second strongest basket and ended up in group C, where it awaits matches with the most titled of the unrecognized national teams - the Dropania national team , and with the national team of Sardinia .
