Track ( Eng. Track ) - a link in the caterpillar track (track chain) of a machine with a caterpillar track ( tractor , tank , all-terrain vehicle, etc.). It is a figured plate made of steel [1] [2] .

As a rule, the trucks are equipped with lugs to increase cross-country ability, however, smooth tracks are also found. In addition, the tracks can be ridge (in this case, one or more ridges are located on the track on the inside of the track) or idle when the inner surface is smooth.
