2006 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying, UEFA Group 1)

The draw for the qualifying tournament for the 2006 World Cup was held in Frankfurt on December 5, 2003. The national football teams of the following countries fell into group 1 of the UEFA zone: Czech Republic , Netherlands , Romania , Finland , Macedonia , Armenia and Andorra . Matches in Group 1 were held from August 18, 2004 to October 12, 2005.

The winner of the group, the Netherlands, hit the straight line in the final stage of the 2006 World Cup . The Czech Republic was ranked among the top eight, who took second place, and went into the play-offs, where they won Norway for the draw. They won both matches, thus also qualifying for the final stage of the World Cup.
