History
The church, consecrated in honor of the Renewal of the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Jerusalem , has been known in Dolbyonkino since 1600. Initially, it was small and wooden. In 1781, a new wooden temple building was erected. The iconostasis of this church was installed only in 1784. In 1804-1805, at the expense of the landowner Dolbenkin, Prince Yakov Ivanovich Lobanov-Rostovsky , a stone building was built. Construction was completed in May 1805. This church was small, inconsiderate and cold.
In 1865, Archpriest Vasily Medvedev served in the church [1] . In the same year he was elected rural dean of the 3rd section of the Dmitrov deanery [2] . In the same year, student of the Oryol seminary Georgy Slavsky was ordained deacon of the Vasilyevsky church in the village of Brasovo of the Sevsky district , henceforth, until his ordination to the priest of the Resurrection Church of the village of Dolbenkin to the place of Archpriest V. Medvedev [3] .
In addition to the inhabitants of Dolbenkin, the population of neighboring villages - Pogarishcha , Trubichen and Chernyakov [4] was attributed to the parish of the temple. In 1877, the village of Chernyakovo was transferred to the parish of the Intercession Church of the village of Razvetye .
1897-1898, at the expense of the new owner of the estate in Dolbenkino, Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich , the temple building was expanded and thoroughly renovated, made warm. The Resurrection Church housed the ancient icon of St. Tikhon of Amafunta . This icon was also revered in the vicinity of Dolbenkin; every year on June 16, a procession was made with it to bless the water on a well located 5 versts from the church, outside the village of Pogarishche . On this day, from ancient times, there was a small bazaar at the church, and since 1898 a fair was opened. In October 1902, the priest of the Resurrection Church, Alexander Ilyinsky, was appointed dean of the 3rd district of Dmitrovsky district [5] . According to 1903, there were 1,190 male souls in the parish of the temple.
The parish council of the church in 1907 collected 134 rubles for the construction of an icon case for the venerated icon of the Mother of God, distributed 18 rubles to the poor, wrote out and handed out leaflets to the people about the dangers of drinking, and by the end of the year created a sobriety society with 10 members [6] .
As of January 1, 1914, there were 2733 people in the parish of the temple [7] , as of January 1, 1916 - 2747 people [8] .
The temple operated until 1929; then the domes were torn from it, the icons were broken, the utensils and all church property were looted. Priest Fyodor, who served in the church, was evicted from his home with his wife Sophia and a large family and taken to the city of Oryol . In Soviet times, they tried to turn the church into a club, but when they wanted to show a movie in it, having converted the altar partition into a screen, fiery sparkles sparkled from the broken wall under the movie booth, just at the fresco of Archangel Michael, and fell down on the audience. After that, even the most desperate were afraid to go to the club, the temple building was identified as a granary. The metric books of the temple were not preserved.
New time
In 1989, the restoration of the temple began. At the expense of parishioners and philanthropists, domes were placed, bells hung, an altar arranged, floors, walls, and windows repaired. In 1992, with the blessing of the Archbishop of Oryol and Liven Paisius, local believers opened the church, the throne was re-consecrated. In 1993, the church building was given the status of a monument of architecture and urban planning of regional significance. The church was partially restored, but the crowning drum and the upper tier of the bell tower were lost [9] .
On June 13, 2010, the Archbishop of Oryol and Liven Panteleimon celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Resurrection of the Slovushev, which was attended by novices and abbess of the convent, pilgrims from the city of Oryol, Moscow and Kursk regions.
Currently, the church is active. On Sundays and major church holidays, services are held there.
