Radio Romantika is a Russian music radio station for women. Included in the radio holding GMP Radio. The format is Western and Russian music in the styles of pop and pop rock, music with Latin American rhythms, modern romantic hits and lyric ballads of the last 25 years, Russian hits of the last 10 years.

About the Radio

It began broadcasting on January 25, 2011 on the Moscow frequency 98.8 FM instead of Radio Alla, as well as in other cities of the regional network GPM Radio [1] . The radio station regularly holds charity marathons, the purpose of which is to draw attention to the topic of adaptation in society of children with special needs, helping children with serious illnesses, orphans.

  • The charity marathon “May there be life!”, Held on December 18, 2013, became the first project of Radio Romantika. Together with the Konstantin Khabensky Foundation, the radio station organized a fundraiser to help children with severe brain diseases [2] .
  • On June 1, 2015, Radio Romantika and the Vanechka foster family support program organized the charity radio marathon “We Are Together”. The marathon was held to help children without a family. The stars of cinema and show business came to the studio [3] .
  • On June 1, 2016, together with the “I Am” developmental charity foundation, the radio station held the “Childhood Day” marathon. The creators of the fund - actors Ksenia Alferova and Yegor Beroev - remembered their childhood with star guests, reflected on how friendship begins, and that every child needs the opportunity to realize their talents [4] .
  • On June 1, 2017, Radio Romantika and the Bureau of Good Deeds charitable foundation held the “Give Good!” Radio marathon. The goal of the marathon is to convey to the wide audience the idea that to do a good deed and help those who need it, everyone can do it [5] .
  • On June 1, 2018, the radio marathon “Dreams Come True!”, Organized jointly with the Gift to the Angel charity fund, was held at the Romantika radio studio. Famous Russian artists and musicians came to support the initiative of the radio station and the charity fund and talk about those who need help, as well as about fulfilling their childhood dreams, at Radio Romantika Studio [6] .

Audience

The core of the station’s audience is listeners aged 25–35, while the ratio of female and male audiences is 60% and 40%, respectively [7] . The audience structure according to the Radio Index - Moscow study for January-March 2018 (indicators calculated from the Daily Reach radio station): women 12-19 years old - 10.6% (27 including), women 20-39 years old - 27 % (68 including), women of 40-59 years - 20.4% (52 including); social status: managers - 24.2% (62 including), specialists - 22.9% (58 including), students - 14.4% (37 including); financial status: highly wealthy - 23.5% (60 including), secured - 37.2% (94 including) [8] .

Rewards

The activities of the radio station have been awarded prizes more than once.

  • In 2014, Radio Romantika won the National Radio Mania Award in the Radio Game nomination. “Golden Microphone” received the game for lovers “Perfect couple” [9] .
  • Charity marathons of Radio Romantika have been recognized several times as the best social projects. In the framework of the national program “The Best Social Projects of Russia” in 2014, the marathon “Let there be life!”, Organized together with the Konstantin Khabensky Foundation, was awarded a diploma in the category “Socially Responsible Media” [10] . In 2017, the “Children's Day” radio marathon, organized by Radio Romantika together with the “I Am!” Development charity foundation for children with developmental disabilities, also won in the Socially Responsible Media category [11] .
  • In 2015, Radio Romantika became the winner of the annual Focus Awards Entertainment. The figurine Focus received a radio station in the nomination "Radio" [12] .
  • In 2017, Radio Romantika became the laureate of the All-Russian Prize “In the Union of Words and Goodness”, which is awarded to the media covering the work of non-profit organizations, philanthropists and the volunteer movement in Russia. The radio station received an award for the “Children's Day” marathon in the “Radio Station” nomination [13] .
  • In 2018, Radio Romantika also reached the final of the competition “In the union of words and good”. In the nomination “Radio Station”, the on-air project “Week of Goodness” [14] claimed to win.
