History

The restaurant was created in 1999 by the famous Tomsk and Siberian restaurateur Vladimir Burkovsky [10] , when in the same year, 1999, the historical restaurant Slavyansky Bazar , which he had opened earlier in Tomsk, was under reconstruction [11] . Attempts by the restaurateur to defend his Eternal Call trademark did not succeed in Novosibirsk either, and he abandoned these plans [12] .

The restaurant occupies a building built in 1850 (one of the oldest stone houses in the city is the former correctional detention unit No. 2 [13] , a cultural heritage site No. 7000214000 ). It is believed that the success of his cuisine is based on the use of the experience of foreign specialists (mainly German) who have already retired in their countries and who arrived in Tomsk without any fees to share their knowledge [14] .

To the 400th anniversary of Tomsk (2004), the restaurant has confirmed its high level [15]

In April 2006, the Eternal Call restaurant was visited by V.V. Putin and A. Merkel , who arrived in Tomsk as part of the VII Russian-German intergovernmental negotiations [16] [17] [18] [19] .

The restaurant remains famous in the city and works steadily despite crises [20]
