Ratu Unre Unre ( Fij. Udre Udre ) - the leader of Fiji , who was in the Guinness Book of Records [1] for "the greatest cannibalism . " although this fact is doubtful. During the 19th century, he ate from 872 to 999 people. He laid a stone after each eaten, which now lie next to his grave in Rakiraki , in the north of the island of Viti Levu . According to his son, Unre Unre ate his victims completely, attached special importance to their heads, and left what they could not eat right away for later. Unre Unre is a semi-mythical leader who prompted the creation of a false stereotype of the Melanesians [2] .
