Volchansk oil extraction plant ( Ukrainian. Vovchansk oil and gas plant ) is a food processing company in the city of Volchansk, Kharkov region .

History
In 1912, two churns operated in Volchansk, employing 56 people who suffered during the civil war but were restored after the end of hostilities [2]
In 1925, as a result of the association of churns, the Volchansky state oil extraction plant was created [2] .
After the beginning of industrialization of the USSR, the equipment of the enterprise was updated, from 1932 to 1937 the volume of output was doubled [2] .
By 1940, the processing capacity of the plant provided the possibility of processing up to 100 tons of seeds per day.
During the Great Patriotic War during the hostilities of 1941-1943. and during the German occupation of the city, the factory was destroyed, but after the liberation of the city in February 1943, its restoration began. In the summer of 1944, the plant was commissioned [2] .
In accordance with the sixth five-year plan for the development of the national economy of the USSR in 1956, the construction of a new oil extraction workshop began at the plant, which was commissioned in 1961, after which the volume of production of vegetable oil was increased. In 1962, the plant produced 27.2 thousand tons of oil, in 1963 - over 32 thousand tons of oil, in 1965 - 50 332 tons of oil [2] .
In 1987, the processing capacity of the plant provided the ability to process up to 450 tons of sunflower seeds per day.
In general, in Soviet times, the oil extraction plant was one of the leading enterprises of the city [2] [3] [4] .
After the independence of Ukraine, the state-owned enterprise was transformed into a leased enterprise [5] .
In May 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to privatize the plant during 1995 [5] . Subsequently, the plant was reorganized into a closed joint-stock company [6] .
In 2000, the plant produced 56,549 tons of oil worth 113.897 million hryvnias [7] .
In 2001, the owner of a controlling stake in the plant became the agro-industrial company ZAO Evrotek [8] . In 2001, the plant processed 113,200 tons of sunflower and produced 50,500 tons of oil (totaling 101.89 million hryvnias) [7] .
In 2002, the plant produced products worth 163.5 million hryvnias [8] .
In 2003, the plant produced 67 thousand tons of sunflower oil, in 2004 - 64 thousand tons of sunflower oil [9] .
In July 2005, the plant began production of packaged buckwheat in bags with a capacity of 0.5 and 1 kg [10] .
Also, in 2005, a new oil extraction workshop was built at the enterprise and modern equipment of Europa Crown Ltd. was installed. for the extraction of sunflower seeds, which allowed to increase the potential capacity of the plant for the extraction of sunflower oil up to 1 thousand tons per day [11] .
In 2006, Evrotek CJSC decided to sell the Volchansk oil extraction plant [12] , after which the enterprise became the property of the Kernel group of companies [13] .
In 2008, the plant received a license to carry out economic activities for the production of thermal energy at combined heat and power plants and installations using non-traditional or renewable energy sources [14] .
In 2009, the plant completed with a net profit of 1.8 million hryvnia [15] .
The plant completed 2010 with a net loss of 2.5 million hryvnias [6] [15] .
The plant completed 2011 with a net loss of 7.2 million hryvnias [6] .
The plant ended 2013 with a net loss of 0.4 thousand hryvnias [1] .
2014, the plant completed with a net loss of 1.14 thousand hryvnia [1] .
