Biography
Born in a Russian noble family. He graduated from high school in 1912, enlisted as a cadet at the Vladimir Military School , which he graduated in 1915. Member of the First World War, fought on the Western and Northern Fronts; in battles he was wounded and shell-shocked. In 1917 he graduated from the officer machine gun courses of the 10th Army .
In the Red Army voluntarily since June 1918, a participant in the Civil War. He served in the aviation units of the 7th Army . After the war, he continued to serve in the air forces of Soviet Russia . In 1925 he graduated from retraining courses at the Higher Military School of Observer Pilots and was appointed observer of the 1st Fighter Aviation Squadron . Since February 1926, the chief of staff of the 4th reconnaissance corps group, then since November of the same year, the chief of staff of the 34th aviation squadron. From March 1930, he served as chief of staff , and since June of that year, chief of staff of the Air Force of the Volga Military District . In 1936 he graduated from the operational faculty of the Air Force Academy named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky . Then he worked at the headquarters of the Red Army Air Force, taught at the Air Force Academy. On the eve of World War II, he was appointed deputy chief of staff of the Red Army Air Force.
Arrested on June 17, 1941 on charges of an anti-Soviet military conspiracy. On February 13, 1942, by a decision of the CCA, the NKVD of the USSR was sentenced to death and executed 10 days later. September 17, 1955 rehabilitated posthumously. [one]
