Club career

Genepo became a player of the Liege “Standard” on January 31, 2017, moving to the club on loan from the Malian “Helen Olympic” with the right to redeem it [1] . On May 30, 2017, Standard activated the option to buy out its contract, after which Moussa became a full-fledged player in the Belgian club [2] .

Genepo’s professional debut as part of the Standard took place on August 27, 2017 in the match of the Belgian championship against Brugge . Moussa replaced Paul José Mpoc in the 90th minute of the match [3] . On March 17, 2018, Genepo replaced the Belgian Cup final match in overtime , in which Standard defeated Genk [4]

In the summer of 2019, he signed a four-year contract with the English club Southampton [5] .

Team Career

As part of the national team, Mali U20 took part in for players up to 20 years old [6] .

In October 2017, he received a call to the first national team of Mali [7] . He made his debut on October 6, 2017 in the game of the qualifying tournament for the World Cup against the national team of Côte d'Ivoire [8] .
