Built for workers of the New Yenisei sawmill and woodworking plant. The status of a working village was assigned in 1962. Until 1989, the city ​​of Lesosibirsk was part of the Urban District . The erroneous version that the village of Novoeniseysk was built from Yeniseisk .

Routes run along Novoeniseysk, as well as along some working villages. Intercity public transport was represented by bus number 9a. In 2003, Novoeniseysk, as one of the areas with a large population, began to run a middle-class bus route. The route was circular, created for workers of the New Yenisei LHK (for those who live farther from the plant) and for transporting ordinary citizens. Bus number 9a began to ride along the first paved roads - Kalinina, Ivanovskaya, Leningradskaya streets. The stopping pavilions were wooden and painted blue. They were later dismantled. There were no stop pockets on the route. After the week when the route was created, it was canceled. People say that it became unprofitable to keep the bus, because no one wanted to spend money on travel. The bus carried a very small number of passengers and therefore, due to its disadvantage, it was canceled.
