Biography
Born on September 13, 1945 in Leningrad [1] . At the age of 13, he made his debut at Kirovets HC, in 1963 he was accepted into Spartak HC (Leningrad), where he played until 1964.
In 1964 he moved to SKA HC, there he played until 1977, after which he completed his playing career and began coaching - coached HC Izhorets and SKA Sports School [1] .
In 1971 he became the third winner of the USSR championship in ice hockey, in 1968 and 1971. became the finalist of the USSR Cup in ice hockey. He was invited to the first team of the USSR national ice hockey team, where hockey players played for the prize of the Izvestia newspaper (1969), the team won [1] .
He was one of the most high-tech hockey players in 1960-1970. Total spent 419 matches [1] : in Spartak (Leningrad) spent 35 matches and did not score any goals, in SKA (Leningrad) spent 384 games and scored 25 goals in the goal.
Suddenly died during sleep in 1992 [2] .
Personal life
Oleg Churashov was married and had a son Igor (01.01.1969), who decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and became a hockey player [1] . He plays in HC Pallas (St. Petersburg).
Memory
Introduced into the SKA Hall of Fame on December 23, 2005 [3] .
