Biography
After graduating from the State University of Latvia in 1955, he entered the service of the prosecutor's office of the Latvian SSR, where he held the posts of assistant district prosecutor , investigator for particularly important cases and deputy republic prosecutor. In 1967 he was elected a member of the Supreme Court of the USSR , from 1970 to 1980 he headed the Ministry of Justice of the Latvian SSR, was the prosecutor of the Latvian SSR, and from 1989 to 1992, the deputy prosecutor general of the USSR. He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Latvian SSR of the 8th - 11th convocations. From 1992 to 1995 he worked in the prosecutor's office of Moscow .
Ranks and Awards
