Biography

Ivan Borisovich Kuzin was born on October 20, 1917 in Anzhero-Sudzhensk, Tomsk province (now Kemerovo region ). At school, he became interested in theater, when students themselves staged separate scenes and plays with which they performed before their own comrades. He played in a drama group in the House of Miners, then in the House of Culture of Mine No. 57. In 1935 he entered the Novosibirsk Theater School.

In 1949-1986 he performed at the Chita Regional Drama Theater . For almost 40 years of work in the theater, he played more than 150 roles. In 1985 he became the first People's Artist of the RSFSR Theater. He actively participated in public work, in creative meetings, recorded radio performances.

He died on June 25, 1986.
