Career
Club
Born January 29, 1961 in the city of Daejeon. He played football at the University of Korea .
In professional football, he made his debut in 1983 with performances for the Daewoo Royals team, the colors of which he defended throughout his career, which lasted ten years. During this time, he won the title of Club Champion of Asia in 1986, and also three times became the champion of South Korea - in 1984, 1987 and 1991.
Team
In 1979 he was involved in the youth team of South Korea . At the youth level he played in 3 official matches, scored 1 goal.
In 1980, while still playing for the university team, he made his debut in official matches as part of the national team of South Korea . During his career in the national team, which lasted 11 years, he spent 72 matches in the form of the country's main team, scoring 27 goals.
As part of the team, he participated in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico , the 1990 World Cup in Italy . He also took part in the 1988 home football tournament for the Koreans at the 1988 Summer Olympics .
Coaching
Shortly after completing performances on the football field, he began working as a football coach. At first he coached the university team, and in 1999 he entered the coaching staff of the Daejeon Citizen professional club. For two years, in 2001, he became the head coach of this team, which he headed only until 2002. The second half of the 2000s again worked with university teams.
In 2011, he worked for some time in Nepal with the team of the Manang Marshyangdi club, after which in the same year he became the head of the coaching staff of the Chinese Taipei team, which he also did not stay for long.
