Reynosa ( Spanish: Reynosa ) is a municipality in Mexico , Tamaulipas with an administrative center in the city of the same name . The population according to the 2010 census was 608 891 people.

General information
The name Reynosa is borrowed from the eponymous Spanish city in the province of Cantabria.
The municipality has an international airport named after General Lucio Blanco .
The area of the municipality is 3147 km², which is 3.92% of the total state area [3] , and the highest point is 160 meters, located in the settlement of El Lobo Tres [1] .
It borders with other municipalities in the state of Tamaulipas: in the east with Rio Bravo , in the south with Mendes , in the west with Gustavo Diaz Ordaz , also in the west with another state of Mexico - Nuevo Leon , and in the north passes the state border with the United States America [4] .

According to statistics from 2000, the working population is employed by sectors of the economy in the following proportions: agriculture, livestock and fishing - 2.1%, industry and construction - 48.1%, services and tourism - 46.4%, etc. - 3.4% [3] .
