Story
At the Troma studio, they are filming the next low-budget horror film about the Toxic Avenger . Filming is led by blind filmmaker Larry Benjamin. The fact that Larry does not see anything does not bother him at all. Larry masterfully manages the film process, constantly inventing something new and rewriting the script on the go. He has been in the film business for 30 years and finally wants to create a work of art. At the same time, the director is concerned about his film crew, which is completely incompetent. In the middle of filming, the film leaves Christina, the lead singer. The director does not have time for new auditions and in her place he takes the girl Jennifer from the film crew. Jennifer herself at this moment is inside a love triangle and is torn between two workers of the site: sound engineer Casey and bloody effects artist Jerry, who compete among themselves for her attention. The worst part is that the crew members are negligent in their safety. On the set of increased mortality. However, not everyone dies from work-related injuries, some have signs of violent death. It turns out that on the set of a horror movie, a real maniac is operating.

Reviews
The New York Times wrote that in the film there are times when he is truly scary, there are times when he is really funny, highlighting also that there are smart jokes in the film [1] . DVD Talk called the movie disgusting. Noting that with his new creation, Kaufman and Herz set the bar high (or low, depending on what point of view) and now compete with John Waters and his 1972 film Pink Flamingos [2] .
