Gerald Broflovski is a character in the animated series South Park , the father of Kyle , one of the main characters, and the adoptive father of Ike , one of the minor characters. Gerald was voiced by Matt Stone . In the episode “ Tie Up, ” Eric Cartman speaks of the Broflovsky family as Serbian Jews. Married to Sheila Broflovsky , whom he met in college.

Appearance
Gerald wears a pink bale , a pale green jacket and grass-colored trousers. He has brown hair , a mustache and a beard. Under the jacket, Gerald wears a dolphin T-shirt, as these are his favorite animals. In the episode " Impressive Buffers, " Gerald first appeared without a pile, and fans' guesses about his big bald head were confirmed.
Character
Among all the parents of South Park, Gerald looks like the most caring and rational father. He tells Kyle instructive moral stories and draws much more attention to the world and his environment than the rest of South Park residents.
He is a gracious, friendly person, but still can be sometimes nasty and stubborn. He has problems with gambling (“ Red-skinned Greed ”), sometimes he is too obsessed with money (“ Sexual Harassment Panda ”), and in the past he was a drug addict dependent on the smell of cat urine (“ Impressive buffers ”). For the most part, however, he is a responsible and sometimes even overly caring father.
Gerald suffers from a somewhat pathological love for dolphins , which is expressed in the fact that in the episode " Mr. Garrison 's New Fashionable Vagina " he made himself a "dolphinoplasty" - that is, with the help of plastic surgery, he began to look like a dolphin.
