Biography
Born in 1893 in the village. Saltyki of the Usmansky district of the Tambov province (currently - the village of Novocherkutino, Dobrinsky district, Lipetsk region ). Received secondary education in Tambov .
In 1903, she entered the Moscow Higher Women's Courses , which she graduated in two departments: in 1911, in Slavic-Russian, and in 1915, in Romano-Germanic. In 1916 she was left at the department of general literature.
A participant in the Poeter's Evenings at the Polytechnic Museum , a member of the Maiden's Field club (later - Fetovsky Circle, Poet's Circle) [2] .
In 1918 she worked in the Kremlin Book Depository, and in 1919 in the Foreign Department of the State Archive.
Since 1924 she was a graduate student of the Research Institute of Language and Literature in the section of Western literature. Several times she went to England and Ireland for scientific purposes [3] .
Researcher at the Institute of Language and History of the Russian Association of Scientific Research Institutes of Social Sciences, lecturer at the Industrial Pedagogical Institute [4] .
Rozanov I. N. in his diary recorded the death of E. Korneeva - February 1948 [5] .
Creativity
Specialized in English literature, mainly English novels. The first printed work was published in 1907 (verses in the journal Firefly). Participated in the " Literary Encyclopedia" , "Spark" [6] .
She was fond of drawing. Both versions of the cover artwork for the book “Spring Horror” were completed independently [7] ,.
